For more than a month, Israel has been bombing Gaza, an area of 365 square kilometers inhabited by about two million Palestinian residents. This invasion, driven by Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed 1,200 Israelis, has killed more than 12,000 inhabitants of Gaza, most of whom are civilians and half of whom are children.

The indiscriminate Israeli attacks, total blockade of Gaza, and targeting of civilian objects such as hospitals, schools, refugee centers, and places of worship, have generated international condemnation. Protests have erupted in major cities around the world. The victims are not only the residents of Gaza; at least 112 Palestinians in the West Bank have also been killed by Israeli forces.
