Readiness of Indonesian Oil and Gas Companies to Implement Net Zero Emissions 2050

Oil and gas companies around the world have committed to achieving net zero emissions (NZE) as awareness of climate change continues to increase. The term "Net Zero" has shifted from just being a term in physical climate science to a discussion in social, political, and economic arenas (Fankhauser, 2022).

Although this sector had a profitable period last year, its medium-term prospects are still full of uncertainty. Amid this challenge, oil and gas companies in Indonesia are also starting their journey towards NZE. By taking the right actions now, these companies can become leaders in shaping the energy industry system in the future.
