Aiming at the Happiness of the Nordic Countries

The prosperity of countries in the Nordic region is determined by the happiness of its residents and the prosperity of its companies.

In a world that is filled with diverse landscapes, ethnic groups, cultures, values, and traditions, the pursuit of happiness is a universal endeavor. All humans aspire for joy, security, comfort, contentment, and well-being. Seeking happiness is no longer just an option, but has become a fundamental part of being human.

Studying the level of happiness in a country can provide valuable insights into efforts to improve the welfare of its people. This will assist the government, policy makers, and institutions in understanding factors that contribute to societal satisfaction and identifying areas that may require improvement.

Last year, the World Population Review (WPR) released a report ranking countries based on the Gross National Happiness index of their citizens compared to economic measures to assess prosperity. This ranking is expected to influence resource allocation and policy development that improves overall quality of life.

For the past few decades, Nordic countries have realized their citizens' aspirations for equality, happiness, and environmental awareness. Consistently, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway are ranked among the happiest countries in the world.
